The MARK "MADE IN JAPAN" is in a stamp with wreath & symbol dating the piece from the Showa Period about 1890Double handled. Goddess/Immortal on ELEPHANT with raised Trunk signifying Good Luck Elephant and Immortal in "Puffy" Relief. In excellent vintage condition. No chips. No cracks. Minimal wear commensurate with gentle use. Color are bright and vibrant. Very nice Moriage detail.Approx measurements-- 6 1/2" h. 4 3/4" from end of handle to end of handle.Unusual to find ELEPHANT!!
